It’s the new year – do you feel refreshed and renewed yet? ?  

Um, excuse me, I was promised refreshment and renewal –  isn’t that what the new year is supposed to bring? </sarcasm>

Of course that’s not what happens – we come into the new year as the same people we were before. But it does tend to prompt us to reflect and re-evaluate. 

Are we working with the clients we want? Are we doing the work we want? From a business perspective, are we building the house we want to live in?

I’ve been thinking about this in my own business, too. And actually, several months ago, I realized that I wasn’t building the house I wanted to live in. I was building someone else’s house.

So at the end of last year, I made a decision to get back on track. It’s a decision that’s going to change the course of my business and my clients’ businesses too.

In this week’s podcast episode, I talk through the decision, how I got off track, and I share some lessons you can apply to your business.
